5 Steps for a Mindful Morning Routine

Have you ever heard experts talk about how important it is to start your day right? World-famous people such as Tony Robbins, Opera, Gary V, just to mention a few all dedicate time every morning to prime themselves for the day by a mindful morning ritual.

Try these 5 simple steps for a mindful morning for 21 days and see how you feel:

  1. Start your day with gratitude: Start by asking yourself the question “What am I happy about in my life?” Tune into what about that makes you happy and how it makes you feel. See if you can identify where in your body you can feel this gratitude. Maybe your heart, maybe your tummy or maybe somewhere else. If you find it hard to answer this question, try with “If there was anything in my life I could be grateful for right now, what would that be?”.
  2. Cold shower: Not only do cold showers wake you up better than coffee, according to many, but they also strengthen your immune system, boost willpower reduce depression. For extra motivation to do this, try adding a few drops of essential oils (preferably eucalyptus or peppermint) in the shower and feel the immediate refreshing effect.
  3. Guided meditation: Meditation is no longer something mystical in the far east, but in fact, many CEO’s of top companies, have revealed that they have a daily meditation routine. It’s often easier to listen to guided meditations rather than observing your breathing by yourself. A 10 minute morning meditation will clear out subconscious clutter and sharpen your focus for the rest of the day.
